Finneas Bairdo'Connell was born 1997 in Los Angeles, California. His parents were actress Maggie Baird (screenwriter) and Patrick O'Connell (actor). At the age of 12, he began recording and writing his own music. He made his film debut in Bad Teacher (2011) with Cameron Diaz. He was also featured on the soundtrack of Life Inside Out (2013), a music-themed drama where he starred alongside his mother. He was a regular character Alistair on the sixth season of Modern Family, Aquarius, as well as his appearances on those shows. His first single, "Desperate measures," was released by his guitar-pop group, the Slightlys, in early 2016. Later in 2016, Eilish made her breakthrough with "Ocean Eyes", a Finneas produced song that he originally wrote for his band. It reached number 84 in the U.S. after gaining millions of streams.
