After World War I, exports of clothing and fabrics turned one of the most important currency earners of France. Bakelite might be simply molded into totally different types, and soon was used in telephones, radios and other home equipment. It was designed by Claud Beelman and opened in 1930 as a beacon of cutting-edge, fashionable type and life. The glimmering turquoise terracotta exteriors provides a contact of decadence and style to the modern, geometric form. Was the first and most lavish Art Deco stylist; he earned the title “Father of Art Deco” for his luxurious designs featuring flowing strains, draped cloth, and glowing geometric ornamentation that celebrated all things fashionable.
